Our story

One family. One craft. A hundred and nine years.

Tiruchirappalli is renowned as a city of temples — Srirangam and Thiruvanaikovil on the banks of the sacred Cauvery, and the great Rockfort rising at its heart. Our family has served its devotees for over a century.

1917 — Thanga Kappu

Near the Rockfort temple, our founder TPRG Gopalswamy Naidu began his career crafting “Thanga Kappu” podi — an aromatic herbal snuff so fine it earned him a Gold Medal from the Calcutta Government.

The Agarbathi era

His son, TPRG Srinivasan, carried the family into agarbathi manufacturing — bringing the same herbal knowledge to the incense that now carries our name across Tamil Nadu.

Today

We manufacture agarbathies, flora bathies, instant dhoop sticks and pooja items. Our specialities remain Sambirani Cups, Loban Sambirani and Athar — made the way they always have been.
